Job Purpose (Job Summary):
In this role, the communications intern will create content to support Invesco’s reputation as an employer of choice through communications focused on • Diversity, equity and inclusion • Our shared values • Environmental stewardship • Business successes This role is based in Atlanta with a hybrid mix of in-office and remote working schedule.

 

 

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

 

  • Writing and editing internal articles for our intranet and internal emails
  • Publishing stories to the intranet, social media and the corporate website
  • Supporting the production of internal events
  • Developing posts for internal social media campaigns on Yammer
  • Creating content for social media campaigns
  • Building project management skills
  • Partnering with our graphic designer and video team to produce visual and multimedia content for our digital channels

 

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong time management skills including ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Relationship building skills in a “hybrid” environment; ability to partner well with team members in-person and in video meetings.
  • Strong experience with business software, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with email campaign software such as SalesForce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience using website and social media publishing software such as SharePoint Online and Social Studio

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

  • Prior experience with design software such as Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and video editing software) a plus

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • Pursuing a degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
